Imagine your stay at Les Ondes. The daily distractions and static of life fall away, and you just...enjoy the embrace of the great outdoors. In every season, the natural surroundings surprise and delight with something new. Here at Les Ondes, we shift with those seasons, from our activities to the lodging’s décor. Nature always gifts us with new and different perspectives, astonishing us with valuable insights time after time.
The peninsula punctuated by the rocky Le Hérou spur is Les Ondes’ grand challenge. As Walloon Natural Heritage, it’s also open to the public. Its 50-metre-high rock face towers above the trees. The climb to the top is sheer adventure. Part of the trail traces the huge spur. Reach the top and enjoy a magnificent view of the Ourthe River Valley. Awe is the only appropriate response to this untamed natural wonder.
With Les Ondes and the village of Nadrin as your base, it’s time to meander the dirt trails down to the Ourthe River. And the rapids nearby? Les Ondes is named after them. The Ourthe River remains a crucial landmark.
Among Les Ondes’ many natural treasures are a food forest and a trout pond. We cultivate and protect the nature we call home. So, it makes sense that we’re planting new plants and helping them flourish in this fertile ground, from healing herbs and fruit trees to berry bushes. Always with the local ecosystem in mind. It’s one of our favourite spots for bivouacking. So, don’t be surprised to see a tent or two pitched here. Experience nature at her best: cook a meal from scratch and sleep beneath the stars.
